Physics of complex systems
Welcome to the FiSiCo site. The name is an acronym of the Italian title FIsica dei SIstemi COmplessi (physics of complex systems), but fisico means also a physics researcher. And finally, Fi also stands for Firenze, the Italian name of our city Florence.
This site presents the activity of the physics community of Florence in the field of complex systems and statistical physics. We are working at the Department of Physics and Astronomy within the University of Florence (UniFi) and at the Institute for Complex Systems within the National Research Council (ISC-CNR).
You will find information on who we are, our research, our teaching (including all the courses we offer), the various kinds of theses available and our dissemination activities, in particular in the field of complex systems.
